Sharon is a 17-year veteran of the Hotel Industry and has both her Certified Hotel Administrator and Certified Hotel Sales Professional Designations from the Educational Institute of the American Hotel Motel Association.

Her professional background includes ten years of experience in Sales and Marketing, as well as six years of Operations experience as an Assistant Manager and General Manager. She most recently joined Florida Atlantic University as a Project Coordinator and facilitates Management and Hospitality Training Seminars/Programs.

She has worked with franchised operations, as well as independent properties and most recently held the position as the General Manger of the Clarion Beach Resort in Lauderdale by the Sea. At the Clarion she coordinated a $3 million dollar renovation project and spearheaded the changeover from an independent property to join the CHOICE family of hotels.

Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Upsala College in East Orange, New Jersey, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She also spent her Junior Year Abroad in Spain and is Bilingual in Spanish and English.

She is a member of HSMAI, HRABC and is currently a board member of the Meeting Management and Special Event Planner Advisory Board at Florida Atlantic University. She is also the Secretary of the Greater Ft. Lauderdale’s Lodging & Hospitality Association’s E.I. Chapter #113
